7I7 Kids & Students
No matter the age, we desire for our kids and students to love and worship Jesus as King of their lives. We believe that our kids and students can have real, personal relationships with Jesus, learn and live God’s Word, and grow together in a Biblical faith community.
God’s Word shows us that families have the primary and very important responsibility of discipling their children. That does not mean, however, that the weight of your child’s faith or salvation falls on you or should bring shame if you’re just getting started. Family discipleship is about allowing God to use moments in your life and truth that points to Him to grow faith in your kids. As parents we can seek God to use us (with all of our short-comings) to point our kids to Jesus. As a church, we want to partner with families to disciple a generation that lives out their faith and loves others like Jesus does, and hope to provide examples and opportunities to make discipling our children attainable and part of everyday life (Deuteronomy 6:4-9).

Kids Ministry
on GATHER Sundays
The goal for our Kids Ministry classrooms is to teach from God’s Word (using The Biggest Story Curriculum), show who God is, and help kids to understand how the whole Bible fits together, points to Jesus, and tells the story of how much He loves us.
Worship at 717 is for everyone - adults, students, and kids all worshiping together. We have a strong desire to teach what it means to worship, at levels that everyone can understand, and we want to start with corporate praise and singing to Jesus that looks like the Kingdom. Our elementary kids (1st-4th grade) will participate in worship during Gather Sundays with students and adults before going to their Kids Ministry class. Kids from birth through Kindergarten can check in to their classrooms upon arriving at church, but parents are always welcome to keep their younger kids with them for worship and then accompany them to Kids Ministry afterward.
Kids at 717 will be welcomed into a loving and safe environment, cared for by Kids Ministry volunteers who reflect the love of Jesus. Our goal is for parents to be able to enter into worship and learn from God’s Word, feeling confident that their child is being cared for. Babies and Toddlers will play with developmentally appropriate toys and activities, pre-K and Kindergarteners will sing songs about Jesus, listen to a story from God’s Word, and have fun playing with other kids, and 1st-4th graders will be taught from God’s Word, do a fun activity together, and build community with kids and leaders. Safety is important to us - secure check-ins and check-outs happen each Gather, all volunteers are background-checked, and safety protocols are in place.

on CONNECT Sundays
Kids and students will be part of Connect Groups, where family discipleship is encouraged. Groups with kids will expound on the Bible lesson taught at the last Gather Sunday together. (Parents - this is a chance for you to take part in what your child is learning at church!) Older elementary kids and students will be encouraged to take part in the group discussion - where the goal is for EVERYONE to learn and live God’s Word together through community.
Student Ministry
717 Students meet in two groups, based on grades, with invested leaders. Our heart for our students is to grow in faith, learn what God's Word teaches us and live it out, and live in community where we are being encouraged, and at the same time encouraging others, to trust God with our whole lives.
Please reach out to Pastor Jeremiah at jkleylein@717.church with any questions, or to receive StudentMin emails.
